Back in the dorm room Jacky sat with her bird, unaware the dark creature had peak'd and shreaded the flesh along her left middle finger. She had wathed that whole scene between her two roomates. Pulling her hand back she would sigh. Making a shooing motion she got the bird to return to his cage, closing the wire door behind him. After a moments pause she stood, wiping her blood hand on the soft wellworn cloth of her jeans before raising them. Focusing on her suitcase and the cage she would watch as crimson threads of magic would move from her hands and grabbed both parcels. She moved with long even strides as she fled the room, her belongings right behind her. Scurring down the stairs she would approuch the lobby desk, an old woman sitting behind said desk reading a old flimsy paperback novella.
"Excuse me," Jacky whispered, her voice barily audible by the old woman. She looked up.
"Yes dear, how can i be of service?" Her voice was high pitched for an old woman and wobble, as if she was unsure of her words. Jacky lean'd forward, her auburn colored hues warm slightly and seemed to swirl as she made her tone gentle and lovely to the old womans ears. She was using a compulsion on the woman.
"I need a change of rooms." She smiled slightly, urging the woman to want to change her rooms. The woman gave her a dazed look.
"Excuse me?" She apparently needed double reinforcment.
"A room change please." The old woman smiled at her and reached behind her for a keep. The one she pulled off the board of pegs beside her dexk was an old and and it warmed the young moroi's hand as she took it. She returned the other key to the woman.
"Thank you." Releasing the womans gaze she looked at the room number at the top of the key. Turning she made her way back up the stairs, not caring that she was missing her first day of classes. Making her way to the 5 floor of the dormatory she would find the hall full of old scar'd doors. Most likely this floor had gone unused for a number of years. Moving to the end of the hall she unlocked the door to her own room. There was two beds but she highly doubted she would be sharing, since the nicer rooms where below. The cage settled on a dust covered dresser, her suitcase on the spare bed. She went back to her door and exited the room. Making her way five flights of stairs and out into the courtyard she looked around. Some students, without classes were in the yard, relaxing. Moving towards an uncared for tree in the corner of the courtyard an sat below its leaveless branchs. Hugging her knees she pressed her forhead into them and sighed, the sound full of a saddness she wished would go away swiftly.
