The First days ride

It was morning and the sun ws high in the air that morning.the dew from the night before seemed to linger far into the morning.A figure trudged acrosss the grass to where some of the most beautiful animals were held.The figure was tall skinny and wearing a blue coat.He looked olike a seemingly average student.Today however was the day he was to meet his new friend.A animal that allowed others to ride upon it.A creature who had served humans for the longest time.All throughout history they have served as loyal pets and mounts.

The figure stopped at the gate and bowed to the man standing at the front entrance to the animals."Ah master Darkmist...we have the animal you purchased right over here.." he said leading the other figure through the stables to the last cage.In the cage was a younger horse but as big as the others in the cage.It was a pure white color with black eyes.the horse glanced at him and eagerly cried.The man grabbed the horse and led it outside.He was about to place a saddle on it but Raven insisted that it was not needed.He threw a foot over the horse and rode off.Headed for the first and longest trail.One that would take him a couple of days to get back from.

Ever a timid creature, the druid peeked around the large, open doors of the stable, drawn by the promise of animals in this artificial, stoned world of the academy. Her thick, dark dreadlocks stood in odd angles, framing her face in their ropy fashion as she examined the area. Despite her wary ways, she walked into the stable, stroking a large, well-fed grey mare as a child-like smile crept on the woman's features. She whispered gently into it's ear, the horse whinnying her thoughts. She smiled at the horse, stroking it's mane, " yes, I suppose you'd like that wouldn't you? " She teased the horse before going off to fetch a bucket of oats. Presently she returned, placing the bucket infront of the animal. She leant against the horse's stall wall, watching as the mare nibbled contentedly on the oats.
